Tyrone Edgar
Tyrone Edgar is a Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in the treatment of emotional disorders such as anxiety, panic, depression, and chronic emotional difficulties.
He completed his Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS)(cum laude) and is an internationally certified cognitive-behavioural therapist (CBT) with specialised training in the Unified Protocol for Emotional Disorders (UP).
After working in a variety of settings, including acute psychiatric and burns units, he established a private practice in Knysna, where he works with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties.
Tyrone also provides supervision and professional training for mental health practitioners and is currently completing doctoral research focused on adapting CBT-UP for South African Pentecostal-charismatic Christians.
